Single Cloud Closure Notice for US Cloud

Dear Valued Customer,

This serves as notification that GMO Cloud America Inc. has decided to discontinue the US cloud server, due to the low demand for this particular cloud. The remaining Japan, Japan-Green, and Malaysian clouds will remain untouched.

  • Service Affected:
Only the US cloud. Servers running on the US cloud will need to be migrated.
  • Last date for new orders:
March 31, 2015. Orders for new accounts can not be accepted after this date. Existing customer accounts remain unaffected.
  • End date for US Cloud services:
May 31, 2015. Just the US cloud will be shut down.

Before May 31, 2015, you need to take a backup of all data, migrate to other services, and change any DNS setting(s).

What needs to be done for servers on the US cloud:

As templates and backups can not be downloaded, you will need to transfer the server(s) data and settings to another server and/or your computer.
This will take time to transfer, so we suggest starting the process as soon as possible.

For DNS settings changes, remember that it can take up to 24 hours for the change to propagate through the internet.

Please see this support page for about transferring your server: Transfer to another service provider

We would like to thank you for your past business and it was truly a pleasure serving you.
Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or concerns.

Best Regards,

GMO CLOUD Support
